Biography

Adrienne enjoys an active career as a chamber musician, orchestral player, recording artist, and private teacher.  Working closely with directors Kevin Sutterlin and Mathias Elmer, she currently serves as a guest concertmaster of Sinfonietta Memphis.  She also performs regularly with the Utah Symphony.  She frequently performs in the orchestras for the New York State Ballet and Utah Regional Ballet, as well as in various Bach Cantata cycles in Rochester, NY.  She has performed under the direction of conductors David Zinman, Joann Falletta, Keith Lockhart, Matthias Bamert, and Neil Varon. As an orchestral musician, Adrienne has also shared the stage with various artists including Lynn Harrell, Lea Salonga, Joshua Bell, Kristin Chenoweth, and others.

Previously, Adrienne has appeared as a soloist with the Utah Valley Symphony, Oquirrh Mountain Symphony, BYU Symphony, and the BYU Women’s Chorus.  In 2015, Adrienne performed a solo recital in Carnegie Hall as a winner of the American Protege International Music Competition. 

In addition to teaching private students, Adrienne is also passionate about building and sustaining music programs in public school systems.  For several years she tutored the orchestras at Mountain View High School and the Northridge and Foothill Elementary Schools.  In 2016, she directed the after-school orchestra at Franklin Elementary School.  She has also been a featured guest-artist and lecturer in numerous educational outreach programs.  Most recently she partnered with the Rosemary Beach Foundation in Florida, where she worked to revitalize classical music and visual arts in at-risk schools.

Adrienne holds a BM from Brigham Young University and MM from the Eastman school of music.  She has studied from Mikhail Kopelman, Barbara Williams, Monte Belknap, Alex Woods, David Kim, William Preucil, and David Coucheron.  She has had additional studies from Juliana Athayde, Patty Kopec, Liza Ferschtman, and Christian Fatu.  Through chamber collaborations, Adrienne has also studied from members of the Ying Quartet, the Brentano Quartet, the Lydian Quartet, and the Vienna Piano Trio.
